A running club built on community, not competition.
Stockton Striders AC was formed in 2014, and we held our very first session on Tuesday 6th January 2015. We're still going strong today — an all-inclusive running club that meets every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 6:30pm from Stockton Town FC on Bishopton Road West.
Our motto is Per Ardua Ad Alta — "through effort to high things," or "through hardship to the heights." A fitting motto for a running club, and one we live by every session.
Whether you've never run a mile in your life or you're eyeing up your next marathon, there's a group here for you. We don't time you at the door. We don't judge your pace. We just run — together.
With a friendly, growing membership, the Striders are one of Teesside's most welcoming athletic communities — built on community, not numbers.
Every runner, every pace, every background. The Striders have space for all of it. We actively encourage beginners and have dedicated group leaders to make sure you're never left behind.
Running is better together. We celebrate each other's achievements — whether that's a first parkrun or a sub-3 marathon. The Striders social scene is a big part of what makes the club tick.
We want every member to improve — but on their own terms. Club coaches and experienced runners are always on hand with advice, training tips, and encouragement.
We're a Stockton club, through and through. We support local races, run local routes, and give back to the Teesside running community wherever we can.
Stockton Striders Athletics Club is run by volunteers who give their time to keep the club going.
